A hike to the Y!

Our little William is getting so big!

Last weekend, Jordan and I went and hiked the 'Y'!  It was so much fun, and little William did so well!   He just slept the whole way up and down!

William's Baby Blessing

Jordan, Blessed William in church. I can't believe how much older William is, and bigger! It seems like just last week when he was born.

These are the pumpkins we carved for Halloween.

We went to a BYU football game the weekend of William's baby blessing. It was William's first, and he did so well!!!

This past monday, we went bowling with Jordan's brothers and their families. It was fun to get out with the family and go bowling. William did so great, and was nice enough to let us go!

I just thought I would share a few more shots of William.  This video is to show how much he moves his little legs. He is constantly kicking!  :)  

Also, little WIlliam loves to cuddle, and has learned to move right up next to his daddy, for extra warmth.

William, Birthday, and Conference

Our precious little addition to the family!  Little William!  William is so wonderful!  He is a happy baby, and brings so much joy into our lives! It has been fun trying to figure out what he wants, and to try and play with him... (though he sleeps so much, that the playing is a little difficult)

William loves sleeping on his tummy, on our chests. Look at his big yawn!!!  Jordan is the most wonderful daddy. He helps so much and takes such good care of his son.  I love both my boys!

 This is little William, and his bath.  He was so happy, and wide-eyed, until I got his hair wet, and then he was a little more concerned.  He is so precious!

 

It was my birthday on the 30th.  We celebrated on Friday, though, with family and a BBQ up Provo Canyon. It was very fun!  Jordan made the day very special!

 

(P.S.  doesn't Jordan look so good!  He is so handsome!)

The Saturday of Conference weekend, we woke up to a Hot Air Balloon in the middle of the street, right in front of our house!  We are not sure why it was there, but it was fun to see, and so close!

  

Some other fun things of note:  Mom and Dad Morris came up for a weekend, to see little William and spend time with family. It was so good to see them!  

Jordan got a 100%  on his first Accounting test!  Yay!

Che took baby pictures of William. She did such a great job!  William and I had so much fun getting the pictures done!

Jordan started his job as  jeweler/coin store salesman last week.

Conference weekend was fun!  we spent Saturday at Gary and Laura's house, eating home-made ice cream and playing games. ( and watching conference, of course!)

Kammie came up for Conference, it was great to see her, and play games with her!

Jordan got Cherstin a new game for her birthday.... 'Dominion'  it is so much fun!!!!

Thoughts from Cherstin:

I just want to let my mom and dad know how grateful I am for them ( and all other parents out there).  Having a son, has helped me to realize, and be grateful for all the time that is given to raising children. With the many sleepless nights that I have had,  I am so grateful for all that my parents have done for me. Also, I love William so much. I see, now, what I have been told before, that children can bring so much joy to us. There are times, when I am brought to tears, of joy, just by looking at William. I know that he is a son of God, and I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to be his mother. ( I still can't believe I am a mom!) I hope that I can be the best mother for William. He is so precious.  As are all children.   I love you William!

Baby William

Well, William Robert Morris was born on Thursday, the 16. at 7:16am.... he was 8 pounds 15 ounces....(big baby )... and 20 inches.

The month of August

The week of August 8-14 was very busy for us. First of all, it was finals week for Jordan so he was busy with that. Then, Jordan's brother, Jared, graduated from BYU!  Congrats!  So we spent a lot of time with Jordan's family as they were here to celebrate. 

On Saturday, the 14, Jordan had his big bicycle race of the summer!  It was the Ultimate Challenge, which is also a stage in the Tour de Utah race. The Ultimate Challenge is just under 100 miles. The race goes from Park city, down to the Alpine loop, over Suncrest mountain, and then up Little Cottonwood Canyon, ending at snowbird, the ski resort. It was quite a feat, and Jordan did so well!

The same day, and actually same time, I had my baby shower!  A  lot of family and friends came, and we played games and had delicious foods and desserts. It was so much fun!  Also, from the gifts, Jordan and I were able to buy the crib that we had been wanting!  We ordered it and set it up the next weekend!

The week of August 16-20 was education week at BYU. I volunteered there, and was thus able to attend all the classes I wanted to.  I helped to host the folk dancing classes. It was fun to watch the youth and adults dance together. I also was very lucky to attend many uplifting and enlightening classes. I feel spiritually rejuvenated. 

August 22, was our first year anniversary!  We celebrated for the whole weekend. Jordan made delicious German Pancakes for breakfast.... so good!  Then we went to the temple together ( we want to make this a tradition). Then that afternoon, we drove up to Park City with Jordan's brothers, to watch a phase of the Tour de Utah bicycle race. It was fun to see the pros. We also got to walk around Park City and go to different booths. Afterwards, we went and flew kites!  It was so much fun, and I felt like a little child again!  

That evening, Jordan and I went to Tucanos. It was so good!  I had never been there before, and so Jordan was excited to take me!  It was really good, and I can't wait until we will be able to go again!

Jordan has been out of school these past two weeks and so we tried to do some fun things together with his time off. We have had several friends over for dinner, and have gone to several friends for games and dinner. We have done a couple puzzles together and have gotten everything we can think of together for the coming of our baby boy!

One day, we went miniature golfing at Trafalga!  It was really hot outside, but it was really fun!  We hadn't been mini golfing together in a very long time! 

Well, the month of August blew right past us and Jordan has started school again. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little boy, whom we are so excited to meet!

Last week of July and first week of August

The last weekend of July, Jordan's mom and sister were out here for a week.  We did a lot with them!  It was so much fun!  We had a dutch oven dinner one night, where Jordan and Gary were the masters of the dutch ovens! And every night we had dinner with most of the family.  We also went to the dollar theater several times and went shopping several days too.  It was fun to have family here!

The next week, Jordan took his big Portuguese test.  He did Awesome!   and it is such a relief to be done with it now.

The 7th of August was Jordan's big 24th Birthday!  We had Gary and Laura, Jared and Che, and Aaron and Tamara over for a Chinese dinner and several games. We had carrot cake (Jordan's favorite) for dessert!  It was a great evening!

Pioneer Weekend

I have never really been in Utah for the 24th before, and was very surprised as to how big and extensive this holiday was. It was very fun, and we had a busy weekend!  Friday evening, Gary and Laura invited some people over for a dinner.  The dinner was delicious and then we played some fun games afterwards, it was a great evening!

Saturday we had a Pioneer Day breakfast with Gary's ward in the morning. Then we went on a little drive through Pleasant Grove. We stopped by several garage sales and we picked up our stroller, and then we were going to go to the temple. But then we realized it would be closed for the holiday, so we headed back home. We had a quick lunch then went to Pioneer Park where we walked past different booths and saw a bunch of 1910-1930 cars, and then went through the Pioneer town.  It was so much fun!  We even saw some authentic Native American dances!  It was a very enjoyable evening. That evening we went to Applebees for dinner. Then we headed to my brother, Shawn's,  house in Draper. We played a few games with them, then stayed the night.

This is our stroller!  It came with the carseat and carport. It is a jogging stroller, that has a lockable front wheel. We really like it and now just need our baby!

Sunday, we were at Shawn's house and helped to get everything ready for their baby, David's, baby blessing, and the luncheon afterwards. It was fun to see them and to play with the little children. It has been a crazy busy weekend, but we have enjoyed it and can't wait for the next adventure

We are getting so excited for our little boy to come!  I can feel him kicking all the time, and can't wait to be hold him in my arms!

Weekend of 16-18

On Friday, Che took me on a maternity photo shoot!  It was so much fun and the pictures turned out great!  I loved them all, and here are some to look at!

This weekend we went camping with our ward at Blackhawk, which is past Payson Lakes.  We had played a bunch of games and had a wonderful dinner, then did skits in groups. They were way fun and we had a blast. Jordan rode his bike there, and then Saturday he rode back to Provo. That Sunday we went to my Grandma's house in Riverton, UT  for a dinner get together. It was fun to visit with family and to play some games with them, in honor of my Grandpa.
