Our little garden!

Today we wanted to plant our little tomato plants!  There are six of them... Sadly, we picked the day, and time, where it was raining, but that did not stop us from gardening!

This is Cherstin at 5 months pregnant. I can feel him kicking all the time, and we are both getting more and more excited!

So, here are some pictures from Cherstin's graduation.  She and Jordan sang in the graduation choir for commencement. 

Then we moved to Utah. Even after filling up a trailer and the van, our car was loaded!

Oh, and this is the baby blanket that I am currently making.  It is 9 little patches wide and 11 long. the four that are in a square, shows more of what the other rows will look like. Oh, and this is done by crochet.

Well, I hope the pictures help things to look better!   We are getting settled and enjoying life. Oh, we went and hiked to the 'Y' two days ago, it was great fun!

A quick update

So.... As most of you know. Cherstin graduated from BYU-Idaho with a bachelors in nursing!  Yay!  Jordan and I then moved down to Utah, where we found a cute apartment. We are all moved in and we have settled very well. Jordan has started classes and is busy studying. I am currently looking for a job, and getting other things settled for the house. I have decided to write a book, and crochet a baby blanket which is already underway....  Yay for a bunch of goals, all at once!!

BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble!

One day this week we went Geocaching!  It was so much fun! It was through the school, so we went to the school's Outdoor Resource Center. They handed out the GPS to us, then gave us a sheet of paper with the coordinates on it for 6 different sites. Then, they set us loose!  Jordan and I went and sought them all out. For each place there was a little word clue to help us find the exact location of the cache. After we found all six of them, we returned to the ORC and had hot chocolate and cookies! It was a perfect break from all the school work, and we had a blast walking around campus and talking with each other. It has made us both want to get more into geocaching!  We hear there are a lot of them up here!

This weekend was a great one!  Friday night we went to Curtis and Anna's. We played a couple games with them. Since we hadn't played games in a while, we had to get our fix at their house!  We played Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride!  What fun!  Jordan won Settlers of Catan and Cherstin won Ticket to ride, so it was a great night!  Friday night, Jordan's friend Travis came up from Logan. He stayed at our house Friday night.

Saturday Jordan, Travis, and their friend Ryan went and played Raquetball. Cherstin had a stake Relief Society Activity to go to when they got back. It was an incredible morning.  That evening we went on a double date with Bobby and Camille. We had Sweet and Sour Pork for dinner (Which was so delicious!)  and then we went to the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble. It was incredible and very fun to see! We enjoyed it very much and we all wished we could dance like they did!  What talent!

Today, we finally have a restful Sabbath all to ourselves. We have enjoyed it a lot!

Extravadance!

This past weekend was a blast!  Thursday we went to this new little Ice Cream place called Frizzle Berry ... I think. It is really a neat idea/place. There are about 16 different flavors, and you personally go and choose what you want and fill up your own cup. Then there are about 30 different toppings that you personally put on your little cup. Then you pay by weight. So its fun and you can choose exactly how much you want/spend. Jordan, Bobby and I went and got small amounts and then we went to the cheap theater to see Invictus. It was a good movie. I don't think any of us knew what to expect, but we still enjoyed it!

Friday night, Curtis invited us over to redeem our birthday present to him. We had given him a puzzle for his birthday and told him that he just had to call us up and we would come build a puzzle and watch a movie with him. So thats what we did. Funny story though... I think I am getting a case of pregnancy brain or something...  We went to the movie rental place to get 'The Island' or 'Gattica' ... but both were already checked out. So, Jordan found 'The Musketeer' in VHS, which is a really good movie, we check it out, and as we are driving up to Curtis' I realize that they don't even have a VHS player. So we get to his house and we go to their Netflix account online and get 'The Musketeer' on the play instantly list. It was funny, but oh well!  We also soon realized that the puzzle we gave him was really, really hard. As, after 2 hours... we hadn't even finished the edge (as a defense I would like to say this puzzle is not your typical square or rectangle. It is the shape of a Panda. Oh, and the 'edge' curves and changes size.... so it is very hard! ;) )    So since we hadn't gotten very far... We then watched 'Water World' so we could keep working on it. We all thought the movie was weird... but we were more focused on the puzzle so it was OK. 

Saturday was a slightly more casual day. Jordan had an Elder's Quorum activity where he went and played PhaserTag. Cherstin Had an Relief Society Activity where we started our food storage and learned more about food storage recipe. The rest of the afternoon, both of us where busy doing homework. That night we went to Extravadance!  This is a show of the performing dance groups on campus. Cherstin and Jordan had gone multiple times in other semesters but this one was the best out of them all!  It was incredible!  

Sunday was Pi day! and we celebrated it by going to a friend's house where everyone brought a pie and we ate them all. We also played some math games, as well as got into a mathematical discussion... Yes, we are nerds... We even had a pie eating contest!  It was a very enjoyable evening with friends and family! 

Cherstin played the organ for the first time in Sacrament meeting this Sunday. She was very nervous but did a great job!  

Oh and as a side note, our little baby is the size of an apple!  We are just both so excited! Cherstin has been feeling great and as everyday passes we get more and more excited!  

Snow shoeing!

The weekend of March 5-7 was very fun as well!  On Friday we had Curtis and Anna and their family over as well as Bobby, for dinner and dessert. It was a fun evening, and we got to play Dominion again! That night, we also watched the Bourne Ultimatum, which concludes our trilogy serious. Anyone know of any other good trilogies? We have watched all the ones we know! 

On Saturday, we went Snowshoeing up by Mesa Falls!  It was a beautiful day, nice and warm, with wonderful snow!  It was so beautiful up there and we only saw a couple other snowshoers and cross country skiiers. It was wonderful! 

After snowshoeing we quickly came home, because Cherstin was volunteering at our new stake center open house!  It is a beautiful building and we are so excited to have it! That evening we went to our ward party in our new ward building. It was an 'Idahoan carnival'!  we had a fabulous dinner and then there were a bunch of fun carnival games we could do. Jordan won most of them so we got a lot of prizes! Granted, they were fun things like a toy lizard or a princess wand... but hey, our nieces and nephews will love them!  It was a wonderful night and we had so much fun being there! We decided to go to bed early thought because we now have 9:00 church! Yay!

On Sunday we had our new church time in our new building! It was so nice to actually be in a chapel!  After church we were able to enjoy a full Sunday! We went to our ward potluck where theree was a lot of delicious food, again!  we also went to our new Stake Center dedication services. It was neat to hear from our Stake presidency and to be at the dedication. Overall, it was a fabulous weekend!

A little 3x3 basketball

The weekend of February 25-27 was very packed and fun! We had so many things we could do, that we seriously had to pick and choose. Thursday we celebrated Cherstin's mom's birthday since she had to leave on Friday. It was good to see her again. Then Friday night we went to a Harp ensemble. It was awesome! we had never really listened or been around a harp before, and so it was very fun. There were 11 harps being played at the same time. It sounded incredible! then we went to 'game night' on campus, where we learned a new game 'Maori'. It is a tile-placing game that was very fun! We want to go pack and learn new games!

Then came Saturday!  We could have gone to the Rexburg winter fest, but instead Jordan, his friend Ryan, and his brother, Bobby, entered into a 3x3 basketball tournament. It was very fun to watch/play. There were about 14 teams in the beginning, and Jordan and his team got second place!  They played some very hard teams, but they always did well!  they were very tired, but had a blast playing the sport they love!  Jordan said it was good he and Ryan and Bobby had been playing a lot of basketball this semester! 

After the tournament we went to the temple, and then we went and had dinner at Curtis and Anna's where we were able to chat and catch up. We also played a new game over at their house, Dominion. It is so much fun!

A lot on my mind....

From Cherstin:

My grandpa passed away a couple weeks ago and this past monday was his funeral. It was a sad time, but I am glad Jordan and I were able to go. I was able to see many cousins that I hadn't seen in a long time. Also to services were beautiful. We really celebrated Grandpa's life. He was a great man. Always smiling and telling us he loved us. I am so grateful that Jordan was able to meet my Grandpa. I will miss my Grandpa terrible, but it is good to know that I will see him again someday. My Grandpa served in the navy and therefore had a military salute at his burial. It was incredible. He was a faithful member of the church all of his life, and never wavered. He is a role model to me. I love him, and will miss him.

A crazy weekend.

Wow. so this last week has been interesting. We told everyone that we are going to parents!  Cherstin is due September 8th. We are very excited. Cherstin has been feeling great. She just is always hungry!

On a sad note, this past week, Cherstin's grandfather passed away. Gayle Morgan died Friday the 12th around 5:30pm. It has been a hard weekend because of this. Cherstin's mother was in Rexburg this week, and left Friday on a shuttle to go down to Salt Lake, where he was. She didn't get there in time, but is now there with the rest of her family. Thoughts of my grandpa have been with me all weekend. I will sure miss him. He was a great man, a great role model and a great grandfather.

Valentine's weekend was fun. We went to a Broadway review show, a dance and a group romantic dinner. It has been nice to have monday off too, so we could get a lot of things done.

Sorry its a random, short post.  Its been a crazy weekend.

Jared and Che visit!

This past weekend we were blessed to have Jordan's brother Jared, and his wife Che, come visit us!
They arrived Friday, in which we played Ticket to Ride and visited for a while. Saturday was the big day!  Jared, Jordan, and Bobby went to play basketball with some people Cherstin's brother Curtis knows. They came back to a big breakfast, then off we went to the movie Avatar in 3D!  It was incredible!  On the way back from Idaho Falls we stopped by Big Judd's. Bobby completed the Big Judd Challenge by himself!  (It is a 1lbs hamburger).  We finished off our meals with ice cream. Delicious!  later that night we went to a show on campus. The Peking Acrobats!  These were Chinese performers who were amazing!  They did a particular awesome act were a guy stacked chairs over 30 feet in the air. He then preceded to do acrobats on top of a leaning chair, which was at the top of the stacked chairs. It was incredible. Just when we thought they were doing great, and it couldn't get any better... It did! with them doing even more impossible acts! We continued to be in awe and talk about the different things the Chinese Acrobats did, even through Sunday. Sunday we went to church with Cherstin's brother, Curtis, at his family ward, because our Sacrament isn't until 3pm. We then had lunch with Curtis and Anna's family. Jared and Che left around 3pm and we were so sad to have them leave!

Cherstin's parents Bob and Gay came up to Curtis' later on Sunday. It was good to catch up and talk with them. Cherstin's dad had to leave Monday morning, for work. He was just dropping Cherstin's mom off to help Anna with the new baby.  Sadly, Jordan got very sick Sunday evening, with a stomach flu of some sort. He is still hurting very badly and is sore all over. Please keep him in your prayers as he has hard classes that he is afraid of missing.

January 2010 in a nutshell

Well, school has started and is already a month over!  We have been on a crazy ride with it!  It is Cherstin's last semester and she is taking some fun classes as well as her nursing classes. She finally fit in guitar, Tap dance, and introduction to Foods class, into her schedule and has been enjoying it. Jordan has many hard classes and is found studying a lot for important test and projects. He is doing great!  We have been able to have several couple dates with other couples in our ward. They have been fun, to get to know other couples and have our weekends booked!  We had some people over for Bobby's birthday.
 
A couple weeks ago, Cherstin's sister Anna had her baby girl Leila. There were some complications and so Cherstin and Jordan helped to watch Arden and Maile for a couple days.  We have been able to go to a Barbershop festival on campus where we saw an international quartet perform. They were hilarious and just incredible!

Last weekend Jordan's friend, Travis, came up for the weekend with his girlfriend, Stephanie. It was fun to have them and Ryan and Courteney Wall up for an evening of full.

Well, we have been super busy and yet have been enjoying our life together!  We are going on 6 months already!  We are still madly in love and look at each new day with excitement for new adventures!

New Years

We traveled back to Rexburg for New years, with Cherstin's parents.  We spent New Years with Cherstin's brother Curtis and Anna!  Jordan's parents them came up to drop his brother, Bobby, off at school.  It was fun to spend a little time with both sides of the family!

Christmas Break

Yes, we are late at this... but we thought we would post just a bit...

We went to Cherstin's folk's home for Christmas, in Longmont, CO. We went caroling, made lots of treats, went to a couple movies, played with the nieces and nephews, played a lot of games, and had an over all blast!   We were also able to go Skiing!  It was so perfect and so fun!

 

 

December 11-12

This weekend we went to our ward Christmas Party and then on Saturday we went to a small mission reunion for Jordan. It was fun. besides that, we have been studying hard for finals and the end of the semester!

December 4-5

 This Friday we went to the play 'Pioneer Song' put on by BYU-Idaho

Saturday we went back up to get our tree... We ended up finding a better one!  So, this is our future Christmas Tree

Fully Decorated. We don't have any ornaments, and so we did a chain and popcorn strand, which neither of us had done before,...

Haha, it is still a work in progress though, I think...

Thanksgiving Week!

Thanksgiving week was so much fun! To start the week, Jordan and I went caving to the Ice Caves on the 20th. We had a blast and there was hot peach cobbler ready when we came out of the cave.

That night we drove to Draper, UT where we stayed with Cherstin's brother Shawn and his family for a couple days. We went to the BYU vs. AIR FORCE football game, which was so much fun!

Then on Monday morning, we drove down to Fruita, CO where we stayed a couple days with Jordan's family there. We went bowling... Where Jordan bowled a 195!

On Wednesday, We headed down to New Mexico to where Jordan's sister Kassie lives. We went via Moab, where the guys all went Mountain biking. The women went on to New Mexico!

As this was Cherstin's first Thanksgiving away from her parents home, she was a little nervous.

But, she had a wonderful time and is very grateful to the Morris family for welcoming her into the family. She had a great week!

One day we went to Jordan's Grandma's place where we got to pet and feed several horses!

On the last day in New Mexico, We all went to the Aztec Ruins. They were fun to walk around and to see!

The week was incredible!!  It was hard to come back to school!

November 13-14

Tonight we went on a Wagon ride with BYU-Idaho outdoors activities. They took us on a wagon pulled by two horses. Then we stopped by a fire where we had stew and cobbler made in dutch ovens.

 Jordan's siblings Kammie and Bobby came up for the weekend On Saturday we went to Mesa Falls. It was all snowy and really cold but it was absolutely beautiful!

Later that night we went to Collegiate Dancers, which was great

November 7

Jordan and I taught 'Crime Prevention' At a Boy Scout POW WOW today.  It was held at BYU-Idaho and we had two classes with about 17 boys who were ages (12-17)... 


Wow!  That was a teaching experience for sure!

Halloween Weekend

We went with our friends Ryan and Courteney to some land that Courteney's parents own. We went and picked out our future Christmas Tree! We spent the night up there the day before Halloween.!

This was similar to the cabin we stayed at. We played games and had Dinner and then Breakfast here with them.

The next morning, we went up to the top of the mountain even on 4-wheelers. It was bitter cold!
