Baby William

Well, William Robert Morris was born on Thursday, the 16. at 7:16am.... he was 8 pounds 15 ounces....(big baby )... and 20 inches.

The month of August

The week of August 8-14 was very busy for us. First of all, it was finals week for Jordan so he was busy with that. Then, Jordan's brother, Jared, graduated from BYU!  Congrats!  So we spent a lot of time with Jordan's family as they were here to celebrate. 

On Saturday, the 14, Jordan had his big bicycle race of the summer!  It was the Ultimate Challenge, which is also a stage in the Tour de Utah race. The Ultimate Challenge is just under 100 miles. The race goes from Park city, down to the Alpine loop, over Suncrest mountain, and then up Little Cottonwood Canyon, ending at snowbird, the ski resort. It was quite a feat, and Jordan did so well!

The same day, and actually same time, I had my baby shower!  A  lot of family and friends came, and we played games and had delicious foods and desserts. It was so much fun!  Also, from the gifts, Jordan and I were able to buy the crib that we had been wanting!  We ordered it and set it up the next weekend!

The week of August 16-20 was education week at BYU. I volunteered there, and was thus able to attend all the classes I wanted to.  I helped to host the folk dancing classes. It was fun to watch the youth and adults dance together. I also was very lucky to attend many uplifting and enlightening classes. I feel spiritually rejuvenated. 

August 22, was our first year anniversary!  We celebrated for the whole weekend. Jordan made delicious German Pancakes for breakfast.... so good!  Then we went to the temple together ( we want to make this a tradition). Then that afternoon, we drove up to Park City with Jordan's brothers, to watch a phase of the Tour de Utah bicycle race. It was fun to see the pros. We also got to walk around Park City and go to different booths. Afterwards, we went and flew kites!  It was so much fun, and I felt like a little child again!  

That evening, Jordan and I went to Tucanos. It was so good!  I had never been there before, and so Jordan was excited to take me!  It was really good, and I can't wait until we will be able to go again!

Jordan has been out of school these past two weeks and so we tried to do some fun things together with his time off. We have had several friends over for dinner, and have gone to several friends for games and dinner. We have done a couple puzzles together and have gotten everything we can think of together for the coming of our baby boy!

One day, we went miniature golfing at Trafalga!  It was really hot outside, but it was really fun!  We hadn't been mini golfing together in a very long time! 

Well, the month of August blew right past us and Jordan has started school again. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little boy, whom we are so excited to meet!

Last week of July and first week of August

The last weekend of July, Jordan's mom and sister were out here for a week.  We did a lot with them!  It was so much fun!  We had a dutch oven dinner one night, where Jordan and Gary were the masters of the dutch ovens! And every night we had dinner with most of the family.  We also went to the dollar theater several times and went shopping several days too.  It was fun to have family here!

The next week, Jordan took his big Portuguese test.  He did Awesome!   and it is such a relief to be done with it now.

The 7th of August was Jordan's big 24th Birthday!  We had Gary and Laura, Jared and Che, and Aaron and Tamara over for a Chinese dinner and several games. We had carrot cake (Jordan's favorite) for dessert!  It was a great evening!

Pioneer Weekend

I have never really been in Utah for the 24th before, and was very surprised as to how big and extensive this holiday was. It was very fun, and we had a busy weekend!  Friday evening, Gary and Laura invited some people over for a dinner.  The dinner was delicious and then we played some fun games afterwards, it was a great evening!

Saturday we had a Pioneer Day breakfast with Gary's ward in the morning. Then we went on a little drive through Pleasant Grove. We stopped by several garage sales and we picked up our stroller, and then we were going to go to the temple. But then we realized it would be closed for the holiday, so we headed back home. We had a quick lunch then went to Pioneer Park where we walked past different booths and saw a bunch of 1910-1930 cars, and then went through the Pioneer town.  It was so much fun!  We even saw some authentic Native American dances!  It was a very enjoyable evening. That evening we went to Applebees for dinner. Then we headed to my brother, Shawn's,  house in Draper. We played a few games with them, then stayed the night.

This is our stroller!  It came with the carseat and carport. It is a jogging stroller, that has a lockable front wheel. We really like it and now just need our baby!

Sunday, we were at Shawn's house and helped to get everything ready for their baby, David's, baby blessing, and the luncheon afterwards. It was fun to see them and to play with the little children. It has been a crazy busy weekend, but we have enjoyed it and can't wait for the next adventure

We are getting so excited for our little boy to come!  I can feel him kicking all the time, and can't wait to be hold him in my arms!

Weekend of 16-18

On Friday, Che took me on a maternity photo shoot!  It was so much fun and the pictures turned out great!  I loved them all, and here are some to look at!

This weekend we went camping with our ward at Blackhawk, which is past Payson Lakes.  We had played a bunch of games and had a wonderful dinner, then did skits in groups. They were way fun and we had a blast. Jordan rode his bike there, and then Saturday he rode back to Provo. That Sunday we went to my Grandma's house in Riverton, UT  for a dinner get together. It was fun to visit with family and to play some games with them, in honor of my Grandpa.

Weekend of July 9-10

This weekend, on Friday, Jordan and I went to an event on campus. There was free ice cream, water balloon tossing and then a free movie on a big screen outside. It was a blast and Jordan even got several free t-shirts from BYU that they were giving away.  It was so fun!  

Then, on Saturday, we had a surprise birthday party for Jordan's brother Jared. It was so much fun!  The food was great, we also got to cool off, by having a water fight with water balloons. They also got a slackline out and were trying it out!  

Towards the end of the party, they had a competition for distance in catching a grape in your mouth. The boys were good at it, and made some awesome dives!

4th of July Weekend!!

This year we went camping with my family!  We started by going Friday afternoon to Bear Lake where Shawn and Devin's family and mom and dad were camping. We all went to the beach and played in the water!  Devin and Laura brought a volleyball net and we set it up in the water! Great fun!  We also tossed a frisbee while in the water!  We built several sandcastles and a river to a mini lake that we created!

All the little children had a blast!  Especially Emily, who could be seen just crawling in the sand while the rest of us were sitting in chairs or playing in the water. What a cutie!

We also had the famous Raspberry Shakes from Bear Lake!  They were so delicious!  We talked around the campfire and had s'mores and other goodies!  It was so much fun!  Sunday, my family went to Logan to visit Grandma Veatch and spend the 4th with her. Jordan and I drove up to Rexburg, to spend the 4th with Curtis and Anna and their family!  Curtis showed us the work he has been doing, and we read the Declaration of Independence and the Star Spangled Banner, and their histories. It was great to reflect on the birth of our nation. 

I am so grateful to live in a country where we have to many blessings. I am grateful that we have so many freedoms. I am so grateful for all the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country, both on foreign lands and domestic. I am grateful for having so many opportunities available to me, just because I live in the United States of America. I hope we can all remember those who have fought for our freedoms, and do our part to help America be the great nation that she is. 

After spending the night at Curtis and Anna's, Jordan and I went to visit our friends Ryan and Courteney.  We had breakfast with them and were able to catch up. It was so good to see them! After breakfast, we headed up to the Sayer Place!  (my families land in Idaho, for those of you who do not know).

It was beautiful there!  We had to wait a little while for the rest of the family to get there, so Jordan and I played horseshoes and enjoyed the peace.

While there, horseshoe games were constantly going!  Also, my dad brought up a shotgun, pistol, .22, and a black powder rifle.  We went skeet shooting  and it was a blast! 

There is also a swimming hole that some chose to swim in. (The water was freezing!) The rest of us just watched, highly amused.

Jordan tried to swing between all the chains.... it is very difficult and no one actually could get all the way across. But it was very entertaining to watch!

The next day, we hiked to the 'Indian Caves'!!!  the hike was long, considering no one really remembers how we get there, and the trails all look the same... Anyways, we got there, eventually... It was a bit of a challenge, to get down to the caves, just because of all the little children. 

So on the way out, we took a shortcut and the men hoisted the little children straight up and out of the crevice we were in. It was fun to see the line of children being handed up the cliff wall. (And yes, Brandy was a part of this handing up... )

The trip was a success!!  and we had everyone there in my family except Heather and David ( who is only 6 weeks old). It was so fun!  Curtis and Anna came up for one afternoon to play as well!

Oh, we will miss this wonderful place!

last week of June... watching Arden and Maile

June 22-25 Jordan and I watched my niece and nephew, Maile and Arden, while their parents flew to California to look for houses.  We did so much with them!  We went to the Library, had a BBQ, went to a museum, went on a picnic up the canyon to Vivian Park, went on a hike, played in the water at Bridalveil Falls, Went to a park, went swimming, and played with Laura, Kirsten, and Megan.  

It was quite the adventure and fun times. Jordan and I caught a glimpse of what it would be like to have two children.  Funny, we actually got several funny looks from people who I am sure thought that Arden and Maile were our children, and that we were expecting our third!  Oh what fun!  Arden and Maile are such good kids, we just had a ball with them!   These are some pictures of us at Bridalveil falls.

So, i figured I would post a picture of me, to show how things are going with the pregnancy.  I am now 30 weeks!

A few weeks ago Jordan and his brother, Jared, participated in a sprint triathlon.  It was in Pleasant Grove, Ut. 

They first ran a 5 K...

Then they biked 8.5 miles (it was two laps)...

Then they swam 450 meters!

Yay!!!!

Jordan crossed the finish line 19th overall!   Way to go Jordan!!! He was so tired!

Jordan  placed second for his age bracket!  Well done!!! ( oh, and he got a 20$ gift certificate to the Pizza Factory, in a raffle drawing!)  Jared also placed first in his age bracket, Good Job!
